Joyce Fraser is nominated for an award!

Last Friday was one of the proudest days in my career when I received a call from my friend Joyce Fraser FRSA, FCIPD saying she received 180 votes for my nomination of her in the National Diversity Awards for Positive Role Model. She told me she had never known that people had cared about what she did!

Black Heroes Foundation

Joyce founded Black Heroes Foundation which uses the Arts to bring joy, tell stories and celebrate Black Heroes. Joyce is a playwright, founder, and a force of a woman. We met a couple of years ago at charity event, you can read more about that day in my other post.
The funny thing is that this has nothing to do with me and everything to do with Joyce as an extraordinary power for good but I’m glad I took the 30 mins to nominate!
I think there is something about being in the right place at the right time, something about true reward not necessarily being financial, and something about the harder we work, the luckier we get.
Joyce I want to thank you for your amazing work and for trusting me and wish you every success in the world in the upcoming awards! You were part of the solution before we knew we had a problem and now is your time to shine ā™„ļø
